Addiction-Free Pain Management® Overview

Description
This presentation gives an overview of the Addiction Free Pain Management® system and how effective implementation increases positive treatment outcomes by addressing the synergistic effect of chronic pain and chemical dependency issues.

Any of the APM® trainings can be packaged as a 1 hour Keynote presentation with a brief topic overview; a 3-4 hour conference workshop that covers the topic a little more in-depth; and a 1 day skill training that includes lecture, demonstration, and experiential role-play exercises.

Key Note Objectives
Upon completion of this training the participants will be able to:
  1. Understand the importance of an effective medication management plan
  2. Explain how to utilize effective non-chemical pain management strategies
Three-Four Hour Objectives
Upon completion of this training the participants will be able to:
  1. Understand the importance of an effective medication management plan
  2. Explain how to utilize effective non-chemical pain management strategies
  3. Understand the difference between physiological and psychological/emotional pain symptoms
One Day Objectives
Upon completion of this training the participants will be able to:
  1. Develop an effective medication management plan
  2. Teach clients effective nonpharmacological pain management strategies
  3. Develop a recovery plan for chronic pain management and addiction
  4. Teach clients how to differentiate between physiological and psychological/emotional pain symptoms
